First Impressions Wedding Art
Nick & Brad's Story
Nick and Brad have been together for 10 years. They first met whilst working at a local club in Melbourne, where Nick was a bartender and Brad was a dancer who often performed gigs at the club.
Nick was smitten with Brad and relished their interactions at the bar each weekend. After months of friendly exchanges they finally went on their first date to the cinemas and the rest is history.
Wedding Art Process
After hearing their story, we wanted to recreate an exchange between Nick & Brad on one of their many shifts together.
A club can be an incredibly busy place, but we imagined the two of theme having the place to themselves, with the rest of the world fading into the background.
When you enter a club, the focal point is usually the bar. It's the place where the most interaction happens, so we wanted the colours to reflect intimacy and nostalgia. We decided to go with black and gold tones, which also matched with their wedding theme.
Since this scene was a moment in the past, we asked Nick and Brad what they would be wearing at the time. Brad's background is in Hip Hop dancing, so he was always sporting a cap and a jumper around his waist. Nick's go to was always a singlet. We requested a photo of his tattoo to make sure it was distinctly him

Their Wedding Art
Along with the idea, we usually incorporate a few hidden gems that represent our couples. In this case, Nick & Brad are very into fantasy pop culture & games so we couldn't resist! We had to fill the shelves with their favourite things. Perhaps these were some of the things they discussed on their shifts together.

"Maddie and Sher were an absolute pleasure to work with and created an artwork that we will cherish for the rest of our days. They developed a genuine understanding of the two of us and our defining interests so as to accurately capture our relationship. The final result is a piece of art that will not only form the perfect centrepiece and crowning feature at our wedding but also a beautiful talking point that will be on display in our home for years to come." - Nick & Brad
